What Pest Control Work Covers

Last updated: October 2026

Washington Pest Pros provides pest inspections and control services described in your written estimate or service agreement. The agreed scope may include identifying pest activity, applying or placing products, and recommending practical steps to reduce access or attractants. Work not listed in that agreement such as structural repairs, sanitation, removal of stored items, or treatment of areas we cannot safely access requires separate approval and may require another provider.

Pesticide work is performed subject to applicable requirements, including the Washington Pesticide Control Act, RCW 15.58; Washington Pesticide Application Act, RCW 17.21; Washington Administrative Code 16-228; FIFRA labeling and use requirements; and WSDA applicator licensing rules. Applicable waste rules, including WAC 173-303, are followed when relevant.

The Washington State Department of Agriculture, Washington State Department of Ecology, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, and, where relevant, King County Department of Local Services may have authority over particular matters. Product labels and safety directions govern pesticide use.

Setting, Changing, or Cancelling a Visit

Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method confirmed by Washington Pest Pros. We will provide the scheduled date or arrival window and any preparation or access instructions that apply. Please make sure an adult can provide access when needed and tell us about pets, tenants, locked areas, or other conditions that may affect the visit.

Contact us as soon as possible to cancel or request a new time. Any cancellation deadline or fee applies only if it was disclosed in your service agreement or estimate; these terms do not create an unstated fee.

Weather, safety concerns, access problems, or other circumstances may require us to reschedule, and we will contact you to arrange another visit. If you ask for work beyond the approved scope, we will explain the change and obtain your approval before proceeding.

A technician cannot treat an added area or perform a different service without appropriate authorization and any required written notice.

Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment

An estimate describes the work Washington Pest Pros proposes, its price, and any stated conditions or exclusions. Unless the estimate says otherwise, it is not approval to perform work.

Service begins after you accept the estimate or otherwise authorize the specified work. The final charge may differ if the approved scope changes, site conditions require a disclosed adjustment, or the agreement explains another basis for pricing.

We will explain a proposed change and obtain your approval before performing additional billable work. You may ask questions about an estimate before accepting it.

Payment is due as stated in your estimate, invoice, or service agreement. If those documents do not specify a different due date, payment is due when the service is completed or the invoice is provided.

You are responsible for paying approved charges, subject to any rights you have under applicable law. No particular price, financing option, or payment plan is promised by these terms.

What to Expect About Service Coverage

Washington Pest Pros will perform the work described in your agreement with reasonable care and in accordance with applicable pesticide directions and regulations. These terms do not create a separate pest-free guarantee, retreatment promise, or fixed warranty period. Any warranty, follow-up visit, or service guarantee applies only if it is expressly stated in your written estimate or service agreement, which will describe its length, coverage, and any conditions.

Coverage may not apply to work or conditions outside that written commitment. Examples can include an untreated area, a new or different pest issue, activity caused by conditions the agreement excludes, or a failure to follow stated preparation or access instructions.

Contact us promptly if you believe completed work does not match the written scope or an expressly stated warranty. We will review the agreement and the reported conditions.

Nothing in this section reduces rights that cannot legally be waived or limits duties imposed by applicable pesticide laws and product labeling.

Service Expert at Washington Pest Pros

I started in pest control in the Bellevue area, where wet winters, crawl spaces, and older wood-frame homes make rodent exclusion and moisture-aware inspections important. I built this company to give Washington homeowners practical explanations and treatment plans based on what we find, not guesswork.

Responsibility for Service-Related Losses

To the extent Washington law allows, Washington Pest Pros’ responsibility for a claim arising from a particular service is limited to the amount paid for that service. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden conditions, pest activity outside the agreed treatment area, or loss caused by conditions beyond our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including responsibility for willful misconduct or other liability that applicable law protects from waiver.

Our work remains subject to applicable requirements, including RCW 15.58, RCW 17.21, WAC 16-228, FIFRA pesticide labeling and use rules, and WSDA applicator licensing requirements. WAC 173-303 applies to dangerous-waste matters when relevant; it does not define a general limit on service liability. Nothing here authorizes pesticide use contrary to a product label or limits the authority of the Washington State Department of Agriculture, Washington State Department of Ecology, or other regulators.
